State President goes to Washington!







Gladys Lemley, W.V.F.R.W. President, attended the National Federation of Republican Women Spring Board held in Washington, D.C. March 7-9, 2013.  She joined other state federation Presidents and several interested women from across the United States. She was accompanied by Jackson County Republican Women President, Carol Pickron.

W.V.F.R.W. members look forward to hearing about the trip and the information put out.....perhaps at our Spring Board on April 6, 2013 in Martinsburg, WV.  (See post below)

Official Call - WVFRW 2013 Spring Board




 
All members of the West Virginia Federation of Republican Women are invited to attend this bi-annual event.  A variety of business is discussed and decided upon that affects all members, as well as beneficial information given out, so please plan to attend.  Guest Speaker is Michelle Bekkering (see post below)

Gateway Republican Women are hosting this event with the theme "Mountaineers Are Always Free."

81st Legislature is in session!




As Republicans it is important to stay abreast on what is going on in Charleston during the Legislative Session each year.  One of the latest ways of doing that is via the internet.  Please utilize the following tools to stay informed and to communicate to your representatives regarding issues that are important to you.



1.  Visit  Legislature's Homepage

2.  The online West Virginia Code has been enhanced to show bills that have become law (under the chapter of the code affected) but have yet to be incorporated in the online version.

3.  Bill Tracking has been improved to allow users the ability to prioritize bills and add personal notes.  Users can also now sort and view their bills by multiple criteria.

4.  The Legislative blog Today in the Legislature is a daily synopsis of legislative floor activities, complete with photos and daily committee meeting schedules.
